Feature of the Day – Alexx Calise – Musician (2007 – Present)

Beginning her career at the ripe age of fourteen years old, Alexx Calise, has been featured in multiple US television original soundtracks; Dance Moms, Dance Moms: Miami, Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, VH1’s Audrina, Grimm, NY Ink, Last Call with Carson Daly, and One Tree Hill to name a few. Single Release Me, originating from Into Avanti, her 2010 release, was featured on LA, I Hate You (2011) starring Malcolm McDowell, Rebecca De Costa, William Forsythe and Dedee Pfeiffer (sister of Michelle Pfeiffer).

Calise, though listed down as rock, throughout her discography (Morning Pill; 2007, Into Avanti; 2010, AC3; 2012, and No Vampires in Gilroy, featuring her group Sound of Cancer; 2011) expands herself, and experiments into the multitude of its sub-genres, inclusively hard rock, country, electronic, acoustic and power ballads. AC3 also features the talents of Joan Jett (Joan Jett & The Breakaways, The Runaways) Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), and Alanis Morrissette.

Her promotional music video for, Cry – the single reaching #64 on iTunes’ Rock Chart, in August 2011 – features young contemporary dancer Maddie Zielger, who stars in Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition (2013 – present), and Dance Moms (2011 – present).

Outside of her music career, Alexx has acted in several US television commercials, and shows – Discovery Channel’s The Science of Sex Appeal, Disney’s Science of Imagining and Guitar Centre.

Angel, is Calise’s most current release, (after the news that a new full length album is underway – confirmed on 23rd August) premiering on her YouTube channel and SoundCloud account on 26th August 2014. Angel follows previous releases Home Again (2012/3), and All Night Long (2012/3)
