Feature of the Day – Kerli – Blossom (2016)

48 hours after Estonian artist, Kerli closed the chapter to ‘Feral Hearts’ with her acoustic extension, she announced the release of the second single of her up-coming album; Blossom on Facebook.

This track differs from the previous single, venturing into ambient, trip-hop, and drone to further the ethereal experience, but at the same time, Blossom is a companion and a continuation piece to Feral Hearts, exploring the floral life that inhabits the forests of Estonia, giving a more intimate picture of the direction of the new album.

Similar to the animal symbolism of Wicca seen in Feral Hearts, Kerli explores the floral symbolism, as the plants featured in the end credits are of great importance to witches and healers.
