On the 10th July, Mariusz Duda of Polish progressive metal band Riverside and his ambient rock project Lunatic Soul revealed the first promotional (lyrical) single from Riverside’s up-coming album Love, Fear and the Time Machine, due out September 4th 2015.
On 30th June, they previously unveiled the full tracklisiting on Riverside’s official Facebook page –
1. Lost (Why Should I Be Frightened By a Hat?)
2. Under the Pillow
3. #Addicted
4. Caterpillar and the Barbed Wire
5. Saturate Me
6. Afloat
7. Discard Your Fear
8. Towards the Blue Horizon
9. Time Travellers
10. Found (The Unexpected Flaw of Searching)
In the same post, the band informed that the album cover was designed by designer and illustrator Travis Smith, frequent collaborator with peer progressive and alternative metal bands Opeth and Katatonia. Alongside the official release, Maruisz Duda confirmed a music bonus package called Day Sessions will be attached. It’s said to be the brighter companion of Night Sessions which accompanied their last album Shrine of New Generation of Slaves (2013).
Discard Your Fear instrumentally, is one of their quieter tracks in their discography, touching on progressive rock, and teases the listener on the nature of their future narrative of their new album.
